****In light of the surge in local hospitalizations and the need to protect the most vulnerable in our community, in person worship will remain paused until February 7. Online worship continues plus a Facebook Watch party every Sunday at 10am. Go to SpryChurch.com/updates for more details.****

Faith Over Fear

Dear Spry Family,

If you're at all like me, then sometimes it's helpful to be reminded about your true identity--who you really are. Take a moment to read and reflect on these words from the Apostle Paul: "For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. For you did not receive a spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption. When we cry, 'Abba! Father!' it is that very Spirit bearing witness with our spirit that we are children of God" (Romans 8:14-16). In worship this weekend our theme is faith over fear. We can choose faith today and every day. Through our faith in Jesus Christ, we are children of God. That is who you are! I encourage you to prepare your heart for our worship of God this weekend, and be ready to hear what the Lord is saying to you and me.

Survey
As we look ahead, we've prepared a short survey (4 questions) and we'd like your input. We first shared this survey last week. Thanks to all who have responded so far. If you haven't yet done so, please take the survey by clicking this link:

Returning to Indoor Worship
We return to indoor worship at School St. on November 1 with the same schedule as before: traditional worship at 9am and contemporary worship at 9:45 and 11am. Our plan for returning to indoor worship includes these components: masks required, physical distancing, cleaning before and after each service, and Children's Church and Nursery for each service.

In putting together a plan, we have consulted local medical and public health experts as well as other church and community leaders. Of course, all this work has been guided by prayer and discernment in the midst of evolving circumstances. We recognize there are different comfort levels about the idea of gathering in person at this time, as well as different opinions about details. We respect those differences and are committed to being the church together. Our focus is, and will continue to be, on Jesus. These are difficult times, but God is with us. Thank you, Spry, for your love and faithfulness. It is such an honor to serve the Lord with you!

We have one more week of outdoor worship, this Sunday October 25. And, we'll continue each week with online worship. Join us as we celebrate the good news of Jesus this weekend!

In Christ,
Ken
