What is a Life Group?

A Life Group is much more than just a meeting. It is an opportunity to have transparent relationships with others and an opportunity to grow closer in your relationship with Christ. It is a chance to encourage people to encounter God and each other on a very “real and personal” level. Consider it an opportunity to “live life” with others.

Where do Life Groups meet?

Life Groups meet once a week outside the church building. Most often they gather in homes, but they can meet in restaurants, parks, or other public or private meeting areas.

How do I join a Life Group?

You may contact Pastor Austin White (Austin@SpryChurch.com). He can get you started on becoming part of a Life Group.

What about babysitting?

Life Group hosts will help work through baby sitting arrangements.

What does a typical Life Group meeting look like?

A Life Group meeting lasts between 1-2 hours. A common meeting format for a Life Group is that of the 4 “W’s” They are:

1. Welcome
getting acquainted (and eating some good food!)

2. Worship
exalting God through song or other means

3. Word
spending time applying God’s Word to our lives

4. Works
ministering to one another and planning group activities.

Can I invite friends to my Life Group?

We encourage friends and guests to participate. No prior knowledge or preparation is needed.

I already go to church on Sunday, why should I join a Life Group?

The goal of Sunday worship is to praise and glorify God. Life Groups allow us time to focus on the personal relationships with each other. We learn and practice how to live real life together using Christian principles.

How many people are in a Life Group?

A Life Group usually consists of 8 to 15 people. Of course, they can be smaller or larger in number. The number for each Life Group  is determined by the group host/leader.
